We drove down to Kokernag, famous for its freshwater springs. The Bringi river flows with a clarity that lets you count the stones at the bottom. This is the home of the elusive Brown Trout.
The Art of the Cast
Angling is technical. It’s about reading the water. Where is the eddy? Where is the shadow where the big trout hides? Haziq, our team’s expert angler, stood knee-deep in the freezing water for 3 hours without a single catch.
Most would get frustrated. He was smiling. "The peace," he said, pointing to the water, "is the real catch."
"We don't go to the river to escape life, but so that life doesn't escape us."
The Catch (and the Release)
